Bromyard Town Council last night passed a vote of no confidence in Herefordshire Council leader Roger Phillips, cabinet member for children's services Jenny Hyde and the senior LEA officers involved in the draft schools merger plan.
The vote came at a special meeting of the Town Council to debate the proposed closure of Bromyard's Queen Elizabeth Humanities College under the plan.
Members also overwhelmingly voted for the draft plan as a whole to be "withdrawn completely".
Tonight (Thursday) the college hosts a public meeting over the closure proposal, the turnout is already expected to be between 400-700.
The meeting starts at 7.30pm.
