WEST Mercia Police has said the A465 near Hereford has reopened after a crash between two vehicles.
The crash on the road, between Hereford and Abergavenny, was at Allensmore, police officers said.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service was among the emergency services at the scene.
A spokesperson said two people were seen to by paramedics after the two-car crash. The fire service was called at 5.19pm.
Police warned drivers to avoid the area, near to Lock's Garage, if they could.
Police warned of "large tailbacks of traffic" at the junction of the A465 and B4348.
Traffic website Inrix said: "Reports of slow traffic due to accident on A465 near the petrol station."
Google Maps showed slow traffic at the junction at around 6pm.
A spokesperson from the fire service said: "Two vehicles were involved and the casualties were taken by the ambulance service to be treated."
