VIDEO footage of a hooded person shining a torch into cars has been shared after a spate of vehicle crimes in a Herefordshire town.

Four thefts took place from November 27 and November 28, in Ross-on-Wye.

Three incidents involved car windows smashed and stolen items – including coins, air pods, wallet, and designer sunglasses – in Red Meadow car park, Mouth Pleasant, and Kings Acre lower car park.

The fourth incident involved a suspicious male looking into vehicles and trying door handles of vehicles parked in Brookmead.

Lee Knapper shared a video of the hooded person shining a torch and looking to his two vehicles parked on his driveway at 1am on November 28.

Mr Knapper said: “After conversations with West Mercia Police I have been asked to share this to warn residents that this is happening in our neighbourhood and town.

“Get in touch with the Safer Neighbourhood Team if you have any information that could help catch them.”

A spokesperson from Ross-on-Wye Safer Neighbourhood Team said officers are aware of this and urge anyone with any concerns to get in touch by calling 101 or visiting www.westmercia.police.uk/tua/tell-us-about/, but always dial 999 in an emergency.

"Please be vigilant, review your vehicle security and do not leave valuables on display.
