A HEREFORDSHIRE landmark has featured on TV this week as part of Nick Knowles' new series.
Nick Knowles, best-known for presenting the BBC's DIY SOS, has filmed his new series Heritage Rescue with Quest where he visits heritage buildings across the UK.
Each episode features an extraordinary rescue project where he follows complex restoration work, reveals the results and dives into the history of a selection of beautiful stately homes and castles in need of repair.
In last night's episode, which aired on Quest at 9pm, Knowles visited Eastnor Castle, a Grade I-listed building near Ledbury.
Describing it as "not any old castle", Knowles' jaw dropped when he set eyes on the building, saying: "My word, this really is something."
At Eastnor, Knowles met Dominic Grosvenor, director of Wolverhampton-based family-run foundry Barr and Grosvenor’s.
He also met some of Mr Grosvenor’s staff as they worked on a cast iron bridge at the castle which was close to collapse.
Mr Grosvenor said he and the workforce were justly proud of their efforts in continuing the skills of yesteryear.
"Television features can only help to recognise the ingenuity and inventiveness used in this long-standing process," he said.
"We aim to continue well into the 21st century for the benefit of future generations."
The episode is now also available on Discovery+.
