A WOMAN from Herefordshire is hoping to spread festive joy by baking for her neighbours.
Natassja Guinsberg, 35, of Pembridge, is a local baker selling cakes to private buyers but this Christmas she is offering her baked goods to those who will be alone.
She has family members who will be alone this Christmas due to the pandemic which sparked the idea.
Ms Guinsberg also worries for people who are on their own as she has suffered with her mental health recently for the first time in her life due to a lot of loss in a short period.
She will be donating a box full of cakes that will include victoria sponge, brownies, and cookies that will be delivered on Wednesday, December 29.
People can purchase a box from her to give to someone if they wish to but otherwise this will be a donation from her and her family.
"As a family we would give out to those who have less," she said.
So far, she has been inundated with orders from people nominating others as well as people offering cash donations that will go back into baking the cakes.
"I thought it would only take me a couple of hours, but it is looking more like two days' work," she said.
The box will be delivered to people's doors with a note.
If you or someone you know may be alone this Christmas then reach out to her through message on Facebook.
"Let me bring some happiness to them this Christmas," she said.
She hopes to deliver to Pembridge, Weobley and Leominster areas.
"I hope I can help," she said.
