A THEATRE company will be producing their first pantomime staged in Ross-on-Wye.
Our Star Theatre Company are proud to present 'Dick Whittington' at The Phoenix Theatre from January 5 to January 15.
Fun, jokes, and laughter are guaranteed as Dick heads for London Town to make his fortune.
On the way there, he befriends a talking cat, finds work at a local sweet shop, and falls in love with shopgirl, Alice.
All is going smoothly until the evil King Rat swoops in to try and take over all of London, but the question is… Will Dick and his pals stop evil in its place?
Our Star cemented their relationship further with The Phoenix Theatre, by being their first show back in the theatre after lockdown this September.
A spokesperson from Our Star said Ross-on-Wye has become one of the company's favourite touring spots, thanks to the community's keen interest in the town's volunteer-ran theatre, showing a great support in numbers for every show.
The company, which was established five years ago, is a Herefordshire-based professional troupe, made up of actors and creatives from in and around the three counties.
Herefordshire remains a proud part of their story, and they are constantly promoting what creative goods the county has to offer.
“We are so pleased to be producing our first ever pantomime in Ross-on-Wye and bringing a bit of seasonal magic back to the town,” said the spokesperson.
