He was handed a fine
A HEREFORD smoker has been handed a hefty penalty after dropping a cigarette butt in a Birmingham street.
Luke Alder was proven guilty by magistrates in Birmingham.
The court heard the 31-year-old had been caught dropping and leaving a cigarette butt in Stephenson Street, Birmingham, on June 16.
Alder, of Waggoners Way, Hereford, was fined £220 and must pay costs of £85 and a £34 victim surcharge.
