A VAN driver has been handed a hefty penalty after he was caught on the roads with two balding tyres.
Daniel Charles Evans was proven guilty by magistrates in Hereford.
The court heard the 35-year-old had been caught behind the wheel of a Vauxhall Vivaro van in Hereford's Roman Road with two balding tyres that had the cord exposed on July 1.
Evans, of Eastholme Avenue, Belmont, was fined a total of £880 and received three penalty points. He must also pay costs of £90 and a £34 victim surcharge.
