A FLY-TIPPER has been up before the magistrates after dumping rubbish including fridges, sofas, and carpets in Herefordshire.
David Richard Boorman entered guilty pleas to magistrates in Hereford.
The court heard the 38-year-old had dumped controlled waste including a sofa, oil tank, fridge, and other domestic items in Hereford's Holmer Trading estate, a wooden sideboard and shelf unit in a layby off the A49 at Callow on March 1, 2020, and four leather-effect dining chairs in Haywood Lane on March 8, 2020.
Boorman had tipped controlled waste including carpet, green waste, and bags full of household rubbish in a field gateway in Sellack, Herefordshire, on October 26, 2020.
He also dumped rubbish including fridges, sofas, and other household items including a double mattress collected from various addresses around Herefordshire at Ridgeway Storage in Powick, Malvern, between October 22 and 27, 2020.
He further admitted handling controlled waste without securing its transfer to an authorised person on October 22 and 23, 2020, and failing to take all reasonable measures to prevent a breach of the Environmental Protection Act by the unauthorised disposal of waste between October 21 and 31, 2020.
Boorman, of Elton Drive, Ledbury, was handed a 10-week community order and curfew with electronic tag. He must pay costs of £1,032 and a £95 victim surcharge.
