TRIBUTES have been paid to former long-standing Hereford United chairman Peter Hill, aged 80.
Hill was director from the club the early 1970s and had a long stint of chairman from around 1977 until 1998.
He was also former club president at Hereford Pegasus and helped the club to establish their first social club.

Former Hereford United manager Colin Addison worked with Hill and described him as a 'great friend and football man'.
"He was a great friend who was a great football man," said Addison.
"I got on very well with him and it was sad to hear his news. He was a great guy who loved his football.
"He always had a story, always had a joke. He loved a bit of fun with the players.
"He would come into the dressing room and have a chat with the players.
"He was a great man who did a lot for the football club that's for sure.
"It is a very sad loss to Hereford."
Hill was also part of Hereford Operatic Society and played a part in the creation of the Nell Gwynne theatre out of the swimming pool, now replaced by the Courtyard.
