THREE key roads in Hereford are set to close over the next month as work gets under way.
Herefordshire Council said Holme Lacy Road, connecting the A49 Ross Road to Rotherwas, would shut under the railway bridge on February 21 and February 22.
A public notice said the closure was needed due to examination work and the likelihood of danger to the public.
Herefordshire Council said Network Rail was responsible for the work.
Elsewhere, West Street and Broad Street will both be closed from February 21 for 10 days for tree felling.
West Street would be shut between 6pm and midnight, Herefordshire Council said, whereas Broad Street would be shut between 10.30am and 4pm.
The two roads are in the heart of Hereford, running from the A49 near Import Furniture Depot Hereford through to the cathedral.
As is the case with most road closures, Herefordshire Council said the roads needed to be closed due to the likelihood of danger to the public.
