A HEREFORD man has been handed a hefty penalty for allowing an uninsured and unlicensed driver to get behind the wheel of his car.
David Haymonds entered a guilty plea to magistrates in Hereford.
The court heard the 54-year-old had permitted another person to drive his Honda Civic in Coleridge Crescent on July 10.
But, magistrates were told, the person was not insured to drive the car and did not hold a driving licence entitling them to drive a vehicle of that class.
Haymonds, of Rothesay Mead, Hereford, was fined a total of £453 and received eight penalty points. He must also pay costs of £90 and a £45 victim surcharge.
