A HEREFORDSHIRE man has been banned by a court from contacting 999 except in a genuine emergency.
Martin Glover of Church Street, Ledbury, was made subject to a three-year Criminal Behaviour Order by magistrates in Kidderminster.
It comes after his conviction in January for breaching the terms of his community protection notice for calling the emergency services when it was not an emergency.
The new order bans the 61-year-old from calling any of the emergency services except in a genuine emergency requiring immediate assessment, action, or treatment.
He is also banned from displaying abusive, threatening, obstructive or aggressive conduct towards members of the emergency services including NHS staff and police call takers, whether face to face or by telephone.
The order further bans Glover from behaving in such a way to cause or likely to cause harassment alarm or distress to any person in any public or publicly accessible place, including shouting, swearing, or any disorderly conduct.
