A DRUG-drive learner driver has been banned from the roads for three years after he was caught in a Herefordshire town.
Daniel Lenihan entered guilty pleas when he appeared before magistrates in Kidderminster.
The court heard the 39-year-old had been caught driving a Skoda Octavia while over the cannabis and amphetamine limit and without insurance or a licence in Ross-on-Wye's Springetts Lane on June 20.
An evidential blood test revealed he had 4.4 microgrammes of cannabis metabolite delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol and 443 microgrammes of amphetamines per litre of blood. The respective legal limits are two and 250.
Lenihan, of Over Ross Street, Ross, was disqualified from driving for three years and fined a total of £600. He must also pay costs of £135 and a £60 victim surcharge.
