HEREFORD'S new Monopoly game could see a "controversial" card ordering players to 'Go to Worcester' – rather than the famous Monopoly jail.
Over the last 10 days, people in Herefordshire have been sending in suggestions for the new Hereford-themed version of the family board game.
Ella Gibbs, from makers of the new game Winning Moves UK, said: "A huge thank you to everyone who has sent in suggestions so far.
"We shall be formally going through each and every one - once polls have closed – before starting to put this unique edition together."
A Community Chest or Chance card ordering players to 'Go to Worcester' and imposing a fine is one proposal we shall certainly be looking at.
It has been mooted on the official Monopoly Hereford Facebook page.
Some people would also like to see the world-famous Herefords – the first English cattle to be recognised as a true breed – to feature on either a red or yellow square.
"This is something we shall be looking at too, and is perhaps less controversial than the Worcester suggestion," said Ms Gibbs.
The new board will see the game's multi-coloured property squares all themed around Hereford – with the Chance and Community Chest cards customised too.
Mike Truelove, CEO of Hereford BID, said: "This is a unique opportunity for local organisations and businesses to significantly raise their profile and help cement Hereford as a community and destination worthy of a visit.
"We are absolutely thrilled to be working with Monopoly and the benefits this will bring."
The game will hit the shops this October, in time for Christmas.
You can email your suggestions for the board to hereford@winningmoves.co.uk, via the official Hereford Monopoly Facebook page or by post to: Hereford Monopoly, Winning Moves UK, 7 Praed Street, London W2 1NJ.
Polling closes at 11.59pm on February 22.
