TWO Herefordshire drivers have been handed hefty fines after failing to tell police who was driving their cars.
David Owen, 64, was proven guilty by magistrates in Preston.
The court heard Owen had failed to identify the driver of a Toyota who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence in Garstang, Lancashire, on July 1, to police in Preston.
Owen, of Blackmarston Road, Hereford, was fined £660 and received six penalty points. He must also pay costs of £90 and a £66 victim surcharge.
Billy Lee Eggerton, 30, was proven guilty by magistrates in Bath.
The court heard Eggerton had failed to identify the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence in Somerset on March 5 to police in Avon and Somerset.
Eggerton, of Much Birch, Herefordshire, was fined £660 and received six penalty points. He must also pay costs of £90 and a £66 victim surcharge.
