A HEREFORDSHIRE tip will soon be open for longer on Sundays.
Ledbury Household Recycling Centre will be open between 8am and 4pm on Sundays, from Sunday, February 20.
Currently it opens on Wednesday and Saturday between 8am to 4pm and Sunday between 8am to 4pm.
But from April 1 to September 30 these times will change to Wednesday and Saturday 8am to 6pm.
The council hopes that the increased opening time will result in more recycling.
Currently people who use the site recycle about 77 per cent of their waste, Herefordshire Council said.
People are still required to book slots to visit the tip.
This can be done online or by contacting the Herefordshire Council customer services team on 01432 260051.
Herefordshire's tips are only open to Herefordshire residents, and the booking system is in place to ensure the safety of staff by controlling numbers of visitors and prevent queues at sites.
People can book four slots up to every two weeks and will receive a pass before visiting.
An email address and vehicle registration number are needed to secure the booking.
