The half-term holiday is here and families are looking for days out and activities to enjoy.
Herefordshire has plenty on offer throughout the week. Here are six ideas to suit every budget.
From Saturday, February 19, to Sunday, February 27, Goodrich Castle, near Ross-on-Wye, is hosting a half-term explorer quest.
The castle said it will be a fun-filled outdoor event with games and activities inspired by knights and soldiers.
On Tuesday, February 22, and Thursday, February 24, between 1pm and 2.15pm, Hereford Cathedral is hosting a family storytelling event.
It will feature stories from the Mappa Mundi about Minotaurs and other mysteries.
Hideous Histories is an online guide launched by Visit Herefordshire which can be downloaded and used to explore Herefordshire.
These are self-guided tours which tempt families to explore the county’s ruined castles, ghastly ghosts and spooky caves.
Join the Nest Ledbury at Little Verzons Farm in Hereford Road between February 23 and 27 from 10am until 4pm for some February folk tales.
Take a wander through the ancient orchard and read some twisted tales.
Putt your way around the planets and a space cave in a glow in the dark 18-hole course in Eign Gate in the heart of Hereford.
There are also other activities at the relatively-new business in the city centre.
The Gruffalo Trail at Queenswood Country Park is open all-year-round and is aimed at children aged between two and seven, but is a fun, manageable trail through the woods, between Hereford and Leominster, for all the family to enjoy.
