A HEREFORD thief stole socks and beer from Tesco, a court has heard.
Gintaras Karciauskas entered guilty pleas when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford.
The court heard the 26-year-old had stolen a crate of lager and a £7 pack of socks from a Hereford Tesco supermarket on January 24.
He had also stolen another two crates of lager from Tesco in Hereford on January 25.
Karciauskas, who gave a care of address in Hereford, was handed a six-months conditional discharge and must pay compensation of £18, costs of £85 and a £22 victim surcharge.
