A PETROL station in Hereford is out of diesel this morning as the cost of fuel rises.
Petrol stations across the city had no diesel over the weekend as they waited on deliveries.
This morning (February 28) most pumps were in service at Hereford’s petrol stations, but signs at Hinton Service Station, in Ross Road, said it was still out of diesel at 10am this morning.
Drivers are being warned Russia’s decision to invade Ukraine could see petrol prices soar to record prices across the UK.
The RAC has warned the average price of fuel in the UK could rise to £1.60 per litre amid troubles in Ukraine.

The typical cost of a litre of petrol at UK forecourts was 150.65p on Saturday and 151.25p on Sunday, according to figures from data firm Experian Catalist.
Shell garage, in Whitecross Road, has increased its petrol to 151.9p per litre from 147.9p over the weekend.
Other petrol stations saw an increase last week.
In Hereford, Rotherwas’ Straight Mile BP is the most expensive in Hereford, selling petrol for 155.9p and diesel for 158.9p.
Asda is the cheapest place to go for petrol or diesel in Hereford at present, with petrol priced at 143.7p per litre and diesel at 145.7p.
All prices are correct at time of writing.
