WORLD Book Day sees children from around Herefordshire dressed up as their favourite literary characters, but one boy chose an outfit he hoped would unite people.
Pupils at seven-year-old Romeo Roberts’ school, Our Lady's RC Primary in Hereford, were told they had to dress up as a word.
He chose "peace" and dressed as a soldier in support of Ukraine amid Russia’s invasion.

“With everything that is going on in the world at the moment, we thought this would share a meaningful message,” said Romeo’s mum Sharon Brown Roberts.
The family, who live in Haylease Crescent, asked all their British friends and colleagues to talk to their children about the war.
Ms Roberts wanted to not only support Ukrainian people but educate people that Russian living in the UK may not support the war.
She said thousands of Russian speakers learnt during the time of the Soviet Union - a socialist state that spanned Eurasia during its existence from 1922 to 1991.
“Speak with your children about why they should not bully or make jokes at Russian speaking schoolmates,” said Ms Roberts.
