A BUILDING company and its directors will be sentenced by the crown court after dumping rubbish on land near Ross-on-Wye.
Stephen House, Spencer Leonard Townsend, and Townhouse Construction Ltd entered guilty pleas when they appeared before magistrates in Hereford.
The court heard Townhouse Construction Ltd, 58-year-old House and 51-year-old Townsend had dumped construction waste from six new build houses on land at East View in Bromsash, Ross-on-Wye, without the authority of an environmental permit issued under the Environmental Protection Act between April 1 and May 10, 2020.

They had also treated controlled waste, namely commercial and construction waste, in a manner likely to cause pollution or harm to human health between the same dates, the court heard.
Townhouse Construction Ltd also admitted failing to handle, control, or transfer controlled waste with reasonable measures to avoid a contravention of environmental laws.
Townhouse Construction Ltd, of Hempsted Lane, Gloucester, House, of Barrel Lane, Longhope, and Townsend, of Bromsash, Ross, were committed to the crown court for sentencing and will appear at Worcester Crown Court on April 5.
