POLICE in a Herefordshire town have issued a warning to drivers after a "spate" of thefts from cars and vans.
Police in Ross-on-Wye said they had received two reports of crime, and were aware of a third via social media.
West Mercia Police said that at 4.50am on Saturday morning, the window of a blue BMW parked in Merrivale Lane was smashed and a sports bag left on the passenger seat was stolen.
On the same night, Between 7pm on Friday and 7am on Saturday, the passenger window of a red Mini Cooper parked in the hospital car park, in Alton Street, was smashed and two pairs of sunglasses were stolen.
Officers also said that they were aware, via social media, that at 5am on Saturday, a Silver Ford Transit van parked in The Gresleys was broken into and several tools were stolen.
Those taken include a Dewalt impact driver in its box with batteries and a charger, a Dewalt circular saw, a Dewalt grinder, a Paslode gas nail gun and a red Hilti gun.
"Please be vigilant, review your vehicle security and do not leave valuables on display," PCSO David Alexander said.
