A NEW shop is opening in Hereford after the building stood empty for years.
Pear-Laine Lingerie will be opening in Broad Street on Friday, March 18.
It will be Hereford’s only independent lingerie boutique. Owner Anna Barnes, 45, has lived in Hereford her whole life.
Over the last 27 years she has worked in large corporations in human resources and has enjoyed making a difference to people’s lives.

She saw the need for specialised mastectomy and post-surgery lingerie in Hereford and wanted to make a change.
“Those who needed specialised bras would have to travel, which would be the last thing they would want to do after surgery,” she said.
“I want to continue to help and support people and give something back.”
It will be a family run business as her three daughters, Poppy (19), Ellie (14), and Izzie (11), will be supporting her.
Poppy will be playing a key role in managing the shop alongside Ms Barnes.

They are both excited to open and help people in Herefordshire, especially those who may be struggling post-surgery, said Ms Barnes.
Initially it will be ran by herself and her family but she will look at employing others in the future.
Ms Barnes will be selling bras from size A-K ranging from first bras to maternity, sports, and post-surgery.
A fully trained personalised fitting will also be available for customers. It will be opening in the building where Andrew Grant estate agents once stood.
The building has been empty for years.
The shop will open Tuesday to Saturday between 10 and 4, Wednesday between 10 and 6, and one-to-one evening appointments on Wednesday and Thursday.
A new Turkish restaurant called La’De Kitchen is also set to open in Broad Street opposite Pear-Laine Lingerie taking over the building formerly home to Pizza Express
