A FORMER PGL residential centre is up for sale, years after closing for good.
Hillcrest Holiday Centre, which was run by the activity holiday company PGL, closed in 2019 after decades of use by thousands of children.
The centre, at Foy, near Ross-on-Wye, has now been put on the market with agents Jackson Preece for £750,000.
The property includes the two-storey former residential building, believed to date from the 1930s and capable of accommodating 100 people, a staff block built in 2001 and providing accommodation for 36 people, offices, workshop, and stores, all set in around 2.95 acres of gardens and grounds.
Jackson Preece said they believe the property calls into use class C2 (residential institutions) for planning, which includes uses such as care or nursing homes, residential schools, or training centres.
"A restriction will be put in place preventing the property being used by a commercial organisation that sell or offer children’s residential activity-based holidays or packages," the agents said.
"Parties requiring clarification of the restriction should discuss with the agent before viewing."
