A NEW private health clinic has opened in the heart of Hereford.
The Wye Clinic, Edgar Street, is on the site of Moorfield House surgery, which closed as a result of the merger of local practices to become Hereford Medical Group.
As well as key services such as the Hereford Menopause Clinic, cosmetic and plastic surgery, medical aesthetics, hand surgery and dermatology, the Wye Clinic will be home to Hereford Vision Surgery Group, which is a pioneering eye surgery regional centre.

Between them Hereford Vision’s team of expert eye consultants have carried out tens of thousands of successful cataract, lens replacement and other eye procedures.
Ben While, senior consultant eye surgeon and one of the directors of the Wye Clinic said: "It's a really exciting opportunity for us and we're really pleased to have got to this point."
"Our aim is to make this place entirely patient focused. We are exclusively led by clinicians so that we can provide the level of care that patients need and want."
The clinic was officially opened on Wednesday, March 16, by Prof Tamar Thompson, a former commissioner on the Prime Minister’s Commission into the future of Nursing and Midwifery, and former professional adviser for the Parliamentary Secretary for Health.
Professor Thompson has dedicated her whole career to public health and was impressed with the new centre.
She said: "They've done a fantastic job here and it is a fabulous medical facility for the people of Hereford. I wish them all the success in the world."
