A GRIEVING husband has been among those to turn out at Hereford Cathedral after losing his wife to coronavirus and has told of their final days as a couple.
The special event was a part of National Day of Reflection, a day which remembers the lives of those who were lost during the pandemic.
Stephen Cole lost his wife Linda Margaret Cole to Covid on April 19, 2020.
She was very active on the military side of life and supported both their sons Raymond and Christopher and himself on the activities they took on supporting the community, he said.

"Her final days did not look very good," he said.

Her family were only allowed 14 people at the funeral at the time and visitors were not allowed in the hospital when she died.
A poem along with 42 names of people who had lost their lives directly or indirectly to Covid-19 from Hereford were read out in front of the cathedral.
Organiser and Covid-19 families member Emma Lewis found the event to have gone well: "We were unsure of how many people would turn up, but it is something you don't want loads of people turning up to as it means they have lost someone.
"But the sun was out, and it went well.
"We plan to make it an annual event, as it should be.
"We are creating a support network for each other."
