A CONTROLLING and coercive man has been banned from Herefordshire ahead of his sentencing.
Dane Andrew Higgs entered guilty pleas when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford on March 17.
The court heard the 38-year-old had repeatedly or continuously engaged in controlling and coercive behaviour towards a woman in Herefordshire, checking her phone, accusing her of having an affair, and tracking where she was between February 1 and December 16.

He had also assaulted the woman by beating on December 15, and pursued a course of conduct which amounted to harassment in Herefordshire by making repeated phone calls and unwanted contact to the victim between December 15 and 24.
The case was adjourned for a pre-sentencing report to be carried out by probation, and Higgs, of Ferndale, Lydbrook, was bailed on the condition that he is not to contact the victim or to enter Herefordshire except to attend court, with the exclusion to be monitored by electronic tag.
He will appear before Hereford magistrates for sentencing on April 11.
