A ROAD in the middle of a Herefordshire town centre is closing for three weeks because of scaffolding, Herefordshire Council has said.
The council said Duke Street in Kington, between Gravel Hill Drive and High Street, past the Oxford Arms, will be closed to all vehicles next month.
The closure will be outside Kington Library, and the closure is needed due to scaffolding for building repair works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place.
The closure will start on April 25 and continue for three weeks, it said.
the diversion for the affected is via Victoria Road, onto the A44, then Headbrook and Bridge Street, and vice versa, the council said in its public notice.
