THE A49 in Hereford will be closed overnight during April, National Highways, which manages the trunk road, has said.
National Highways, formerly known as Highways England, said the A49 Ross Road would be closed overnight for resurfacing and other repair works.
The road will be closed between the roundabout with the B4399 Rotherwas Access Road at Grafton and the roundabout with the A465 Belmont Road at Asda.
The overnight closures would be in force for around four weeks from Sunday, April 3, it said.

The works will be carried out between 8pm and 6am, and all vehicles would be banned from entering or leaving the stretch of the A49, including from any side roads.
The only exceptions, National Highways said, would be for police, fire and rescue, ambulance and construction vehicles.
It said access to properties would be maintained at all times though.

It said the diversion route, via the A417, A4103, A438, Leadon Way, A417, M50, A449 and A40 and vice versa, would be signed.
The long diversion will see drivers taken from Leominster to Ross-on-Wye, avoiding Hereford.
