HEREFORDSHIRE is set to feature on a popular TV show which will be shown on BBC One this weekend.
Religious programme Songs of Praise, first broadcast in 1961, will come from Herefordshire on Sunday.
The Rev Kate Bottley, who has previously featured on Channel 4's Gogglebox, is in Hereford to discover how faith has been put into practice by local Christians past and present.
She will visit Hereford Cathedral, a site of worship for more than1,300 years, to find out how the staff have recently played a leading role in improving the experience for visitors with sensory issues.
Information from the BBC says Rev Bottley will also join some local children on the cathedral’s unique sensory trail.

In 2019, Hereford Cathedral was given an Autism Friendly Award from the National Autistic Society.
The award champions organisations which commit to making sure that autistic visitors receive the same warm welcome as everybody else.
As part of the process, Hereford Cathedral created additional resources including social stories for visitors, implemented quiet hours for individuals who may struggle with sensory overload and worked with different groups including the local branch of NAS to gain an understanding of the needs of autistic visitors.
Later in the episode, the BBC says JB Gill, a former member of boyband JLS, hears about a project that teaches invaluable first aid skills to young people, and he volunteers to help those who find themselves in need during a night out in Hereford.
He meets people from Vennture, the charity which aims to support vulnerable people in Hereford.

This ranges from street pastors looking after people on a night out in Hereford, as well as family pastors listening to families in their homes.
And the show will also hear from a local cheesemaker about the role her relationship with God plays in her life and work.
Songs of Praise will be broadcast on BBC One at 1.15pm on Sunday, and it can be seen on BBC iPlayer afterwards.
