FIREFIGHTERS were called to the rescue after a horse got stuck in its horsebox this afternoon.
The large animal rescue crew from Bromyard fire station helped move the horse, which had become stuck over a panel inside the box.
A fire service spokesperson said: "Luckily for him he was very calm and was seen by a vet quickly.
“He was then sedated and the vet allowed the firefighters to remove the panel from under him.
“After a short time he was able to walk out of the box where the vet was able to carry out a full check.”
The horse was calm and there was good team work with the owner, said the spokesperson.
"He is a little sore but will make a full recovery."
