A ROAD in a Herefordshire village will have its speed limit cut to 20mph for more than six months.
Herefordshire Council has revealed plans for the speed limit on the B4230 in Weobley, near Leominster, in a public notice.
It said the road, known as Kington Road, would have a temporary speed restriction for 186 days – more than six months – from May 3.
The reduced speed limit, down from 30mph to 20mph, was needed to slow traffic while construction traffic enters and exits treatment works, the council said.
It was also needed because o the "likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place".
The reduced limit would be in place on Kington Road, Weovley, between the entrance to Primasil Silicones and St Thomas of Hereford Catholic Church.
The road links the village to the A4112 between Dilwyn and Eardisley.
