AN HISTORIC Herefordshire pub has revealed its plans to open a new café this spring.
Inn on the Wye, in Kerne Bridge near Ross-on-Wye, has undergone a revamp this month but has now announced it is also set to open a new café.
Louise Turley, who owns the 17th century pub, said she wanted to create a fresh and on trend atmosphere as opposed to the dark and unappealing area it once was.
Lilybeans Coffee Shop will open on May 2 and offer a bright and inviting space for local and tourists to enjoy teas, freshly ground barista coffee, cakes, pastries, breakfast rolls and light lunches.
It will open Monday to Saturday between 9am and 5pm.
The dog-friendly pub and hotel is in the heart of the Wye valley overlooking the river Wye and ancient Goodrich Castle at Kerne Bridge, just a few minutes from Symonds Yat, Beechenhurst, and the famous Puzzlewood.
“We really hope you visit us soon and don’t forget we serve the most amazing one-metre-long pizza for sharing, so ring around the friends you haven’t seen because of Covid lockdowns for year and enjoy a much-deserved treat,” said Ms Turley.
