HEREFORD’S Left Bank is set to host a brand-new market this month.
Hereford Artisan Market is a new market with a difference, showcasing upcoming and contemporary designers and makers of Herefordshire and beyond.
The mission of the market is to bring local artists, designers, and makers together in a historic setting, to create a cultural platform for Herefordshire’s finest talents.
The spring and summer markets will be taking place every Saturday of the month from April to July between 10am and 4pm.
For the debut year it will be hosted by the Left Bank Village, in Bridge Street, on Saturday, April 30.
The Left Bank Village is a popular spot for eating, socialising, and creative events and is just a stone’s throw from Hereford Cathedral.
The market will be spread over two floors on the outdoor riverside terrace overlooking the views of the river Wye.
A spokesperson from the Hereford Artisan Market said: “Our passion is to celebrate artisan makers who are producing sustainable products and production lines.
“Our application criteria for traders is that they should use recyclable, biodegradable and/or recycled packaging with their products.
“Hereford Artisan Market is about bringing a sense of unity within the independent trade of Hereford.”
After lockdowns and difficulties in trade the market aims to create a direct connection between the public and makers of Herefordshire.
