A HEREFORD man has appeared in court accused of committing multiple sex offences against a boy in Hereford.
Charles Taylor appeared before Hereford magistrates court accused of 21 offences.
The court heard he is accused of seven counts of indecently assaulting a boy under 14 between January 1, 1980, and December 31, 1985, and 10 counts of gross indecency with a boy under 14 between January 1, 1979, and December 31, 1985.
He is also accused of indecently assaulting a woman aged over 16 between January 1, 1989, and December 31, 1989, two counts of indecently assaulting a woman aged over 16 between January 1, 1998 and December 31, 1998, and one count of assault causing actual bodily harm between January 1, 2001, and December 31, 2001.
Taylor, who appeared wearing a grey sweater and blue jeans, did not enter a plea to magistrates, who said the case was not appropriate for summary trial in the magistrates court.
The case was sent to Worcester Crown Court, where Taylor, of Ross Road, Hereford, will appear on May 4.
