For the council to spend huge sums of money on meeting
rooms is ridiculous.
The University of Sussex has just proved that hybrid working is bad for the environment and, in my long experience, meetings are generally very time-wasteful.
I am reminded that many years ago IBM realised that meetings were wasteful.
What did they do? They removed all the chairs from the meeting rooms.
Suddenly meetings became productive and a lot shorter. The council needs to re-think the need for spending such money.
