A COMMERCIAL laundry has been destroyed after a major fire ripped through the building in the early hours of the morning on a Herefordshire industrial estate.
A fire service spokesperson said Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews were called at 1.53am on May 2 to a building fire at an industrial premises in Netherton Road, on the Overross Industrial Estate in Ross-on-Wye.
"The extent of the fire quickly made it apparent that many personnel would be required so 10 fire engines were mobilised – from Ross-on-Wye, Whitchurch, Fownhope, Hereford, Ewyas Harold, Ledbury, Droitwich and Upton-upon-Severn plus two from South Wales Fire and Rescue Service – as well as water carriers from Peterchurch and Leominster and aerial ladder platforms from Hereford and Worcester Fire Stations," the spokesperson said.

"Crews fought a large fire involving a factory which was used as a commercial laundry and 100 per cent alight.
"All persons were accounted for and there were no casualties. The incident was sectorised for fire fighting and the roof collapse at 5.30am on May 2.
"The incident continued throughout the day with damping down and the removal of panels."
The spokesperson confirmed that the incident was scaled back to four fire engines and one aerial ladder platform at 9.08am and to four fire engines at 12.50pm.
An inspection was carried out with a thermal imaging camera at 4.36pm and found no further hotspots.
