A LARGE tree that was blown down during the storms earlier this year has still not been removed from a popular Hereford park.
The beech tree is currently leaning over the bank of the river Wye in Bishops Meadow in Hereford.
There are now three traffic cones filling the hole where the tree once stood between the river and path.
A spokesperson from Herefordshire Council said Balfour Beatty are awaiting the supply of a winch from their subcontractor.
“This is required to pull the tree back up the riverbank and onto the flat so they can carry out the necessary works to remove,” said the spokesperson.
