POLICE were called to a park in Hereford after reports of a man with a firearm.
A spokesperson from West Mercia police said that at around 7.30pm on Thursday (May 13) officers went to the Newton Farm area, where a 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent.
He remains in police custody as investigations continue.
No one was injured and it is believed to have been an isolated incident, with police said was in a park off Brampton Road.

People may see an increased police presence in the area today (Friday) as Safer Neighbourhood Teams offer reassurance to the community.
