A HEREFORDSHIRE community has come together to decorate the village with a variety of scarecrows.
The village of Shobdon, near Leominster, again invited residents to fill their gardens with their creations after a successful first year in 2021.
The trail ran from 28 April until the winners were judged on May 2.
The judging was performed by Coun Roger Phillips and the competition, as with the previous year. was fierce.
First place was awarded to 'Horse and Rider', second place went to 'The Witch' and third place was awarded to 'The ScareCROW.'
The Scarecrow Festival and Trail was an idea born out of lockdown last year by organisers Adrienne Boxall and Emma Lewis, designed to bring the community back together again.
This year, over 60 scarecrows appeared at various locations across the parish, including some with famous faces such as Her Majesty the Queen, golfer Tiger Woods and actor turned TV presenter Robson Green.
Mrs Boxall said that the festival and trail had again been a huge success and that villagers had visitors to the village alike had enjoyed taking part in the trail.
