A DRUNKEN man was seen muttering to himself as he kicked cars in a Hereford street.
Kirill Cernecckij admitted two counts of theft and one of criminal damage when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford.
The 24-year-old had been identified from CCTV stealing a bottle of wine worth £10 from Tanners between March 22 and 28 and two bottles of whisky worth £82 from Morrisons on April 6, prosecutor Melanie Winterflood said, while the damage, which was to a Volvo, had taken place in Aubrey Street.
"He was seen walking down the street in an intoxicated state shouting and muttering to himself and kicking parked cars as he went," she said.
"£100 worth of damage was caused to one of those, which was dented."
The court heard Cernecckij had been in an argument with an acquaintance after leaving a pub in the town, but that there was no suggestion he had been unpleasant to anyone else.
The stolen alcohol was not recovered.

Chris Read, for Cernecckij, said a pre-sentencing report is already taking place as he is due before the court for other matters and that the matter should be adjourned to that date to tie up sentencing.
The case was adjourned, and Cernecckij, who is of no fixed address, was bailed with conditions not to enter Tanners or Morrisons in Hereford.
