FIVE people from Herefordshire have been recognised in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List.
The highest honour has gone to Ledbury’s Prudence Margaret Burch, co-founder of Manchester-based mindfulness firm Breathworks, who becomes an OBE for services to wellbeing and pain management.

Hereford’s Tiffany Marie Langford, deployed caseworker at the Ministry of Defence, becomes an MBE for public service.
Meanwhile, Hugo Ronald Allan Spowers, of Leominster, also becomes an MBE, recognised for his services to technology.
He is a former motorsport engineer and racing driver who founded Riversimple, a car manufacturer of hydrogen-powered cars.
In Ross-on-Wye, Mark Sanderson has been awarded a British Empire Medal for services to the community.
He has been director of music at St Mary’s Parish Church for the past 27 years and manages the digital presence for Ross and surrounding parishes.

This was alongside his work as a computer consultant for Herefordshire Council, where he promoted the use of technology in primary schools in the county.
He was nominated for the award for his contribution to the community during the Covid pandemic, where he recorded and streamed church services for parishioners who were unable to attend due to restrictions in gatherings.
Mr Sanderson said: "I heard about the award in the week after Easter, when I had just returned from singing weekend services at Salisbury Cathedral.
"When I arrived home, the letter was waiting for me."
Mr Sanderson went on to say how honoured he was to receive the award.

He said: "I am truly humbled to have been put forward for this honour.
"There are all sorts of people out there doing wonderful things and I was one of those lucky enough to have been recommended."
The fifth Herefordshire name on this list is Betty Taylor Webb, of Hereford.
She has been a volunteer at British Heart Foundation and has now won a British Empire Medal for her charitable and voluntary services.
