TESCO Express in Hereford has temporarily closed for refurbishment.
There is currently scaffolding at the front of the building, in Holme Lacey Road, and builders are completing work.
The shop sells general food and drinks items, and it is regularly used by those living and working in the area.
It is unclear when the shop will reopen but its website currently shows it will be closed for the next week.
Before the building was used as a Tesco Express it was the Gamecock pub.

In 2010 campaigners collected dozens of signatures against plans the supermarket giant Tesco.
Chris Chappell, who led the protest outside the city’s Bewell Street Tesco, previously said he hoped Hereford MP Jesse Norman could take the petition to the House of Commons once complete.
Tesco spokesperson Sophie Akokhia responded at the time: “We are interested in taking a lease on the Gamecock pub to create a Tesco Express store for the surrounding community."

The company believed the convenience store would reduce car journeys since the vast majority of its customers were likely to come from within a one-kilometre radius, as well as use more sustainable modes of transport, said the spokesperson.
