A HEREFORDSHIRE town's market square burst into life as part of the town's jubilee celebrations with the inaugural Bromyard Dining Club.
More than 1,200 visitors went to the historic square to enjoy a delicious range of street food and local drinks producers, along with music and entertainment, on Saturday night, organisers said.
Sunday then saw the launch of Bromyard’s Market in the Square, a new outdoor market running on the first Sunday of every month, with a new round of visitors to the town.
The events were part of an initiative to put Bromyard on the map and welcome tourism, with Digbeth Dining club joining forces with local drink traders to create Bromyard Dining Club.
The street food extraordinaire hosted award-winning vendors including Disco Fries, Flats Doughnuts, Gyoza Gyoza and Cleopatra’s Kitchen, all while Bromyard FM DJs set the vibe.

The weekend also saw the Backward D launched - Bromyard’s brew produced in collaboration with Wye Valley Brewery. With a nod to the controversy surrounding Bromyard’s branding which made headlines earlier this year, the D-lightful pale ale was described as a huge success and sold three times the number of other beers at the event.
Bromyard’s merchandise stall featured at the first monthly market too, selling out of their ‘bushel edition’ stock by closing time. All monies raised from the sale of merchandise and the Backward D will go back into the community via Bromyard and Winslow Town Council, with more than £1,000 already raised.
“Bromyard party in the square was busy and buzzing, with fantastic people and great party vibes! We can’t wait to return,” said Gemma Owner of Gyoza Gyoza.
Nearly 2,000 people visited the square over the course of the weekend despite the dull weather, organisers said. The first monthly market saw local traders including Peter Cooks Bread selling out their wares while local Warren Farm popped back to the farm to pick up more supplies.
