POLICE officers have been tackling speeding in a two Herefordshire villages.
West Mercia Police said they had been "out and about" carrying out speed checks in Risbury and Bodenham, near Leominster, on Friday.
Officers, who were from the Bromyard safer neighbourhood team, did not say if they caught anyone speeding.
They shared pictures on Twitter of the A417 at Bodenham and the lanes around Risbury.
But Humber, Ford and Stoke Prior Group Parish Council minutes from March show locals had raised concerns about speeding.
The document shows that there was talks about speeding traffic on the A44 around the Steens Bridge area and also on the C1110 south of the A44.
It said that the speed of larger vehicles was causing concern and damage to roadside ditches as they pulled over to avoid oncoming traffic.
A meeting could be set up with Simon Hobbs, Herefordshire Council's safety officer, to discuss possible ways to tackle the problem.
Ward councillor John Harrington, who is also the cabinet member for transport and infrastructure, was going to see if he could put the parish council chairman in touch with Mr Hobbs.
