A ROAD in Hereford will be closed for longer than the three months originally planned, Herefordshire Council has said.
College Road, which links the A4103 Roman Road to the College Estate near the Royal National College for the Blind, shut on Monday, April 4 and should have been back open again by Monday, June 27.

Herefordshire Council said before work started that the road would be closed on either side of the railway bridge, near the car dealerships.

A public notice published by the council said the diversion route is via Old School Lane, past Yeomans Travel and onto the A4103, and vice versa.
It said the closure was needed due to bridge widening works and the likelihood of danger to the public.
