A TEACHER has been sent to the crown court after sending sexual texts to a young teenager.
Ioan Graham Hughes, 34, admitted engaging in sexual communication with a child under 16 between November 30, 2020, and October 3, 2021.
Prosecutor Mark Hambling said Hughes had known the victim, who is in their early teens, through his job as a teacher.
"He had sent texts to this girl," Mr Hambling said.

"At least one image was sent, that was not of a totally explicit nature."
Mr Hambling said the case was beyond the sentencing powers of the magistrates and that the matter should be sent to the crown court for sentencing, which was agreed by Hughes' solicitor.
A pre-sentencing report was ordered to be carried out by probation, and Hughes, of Crooked Well, Kington, will appear before Worcester crown court for sentencing on July 15.
