A PHONE that was found in the river Wye near Herefordshire has been reunited with its owner almost a year later.
Miguel Pacheco, of Lydbrook, near Symonds Yat, Ross-on-Wye, found an iPhone when he was canoeing on Wednesday, June 15, and took to Facebook to reunite it with its owner.
Mr Pacheco shared a photo of the phone which showed its screensaver of a man and woman and the date on the front, August 13, 2021.
"I took it home opened it up and dried it out with an airline then left it in the airing cupboard over night to dry properly," he said.

"I then put it on charge the following morning and couldn't believe my eyes, it was actually working."
People shared his post and the great search for the owner continued, and he was eventually found, all the way in Edinburgh.
He had been on a stag do at the time and was canoeing down the river in Lydbrook, near Symonds Yat, on August 13, 2021, when his friend capsized and lost his phone.
Mr Pacheco got his address and posted it up to him.
"What an amazing story I will never forget," said Mr Pacheco.
