A HEREFORDSHIRE musician has said it was a “surreal” moment when his song featured on a popular ITV programme.
Jake Gamble, who goes by Jake of Diamonds, is a singer songwriter from Hereford who has become a popular face around the county for his performing.
In the past he has supported Tom Walker and performed in venues across the country with his band.
Earlier this week ITV messaged Mr Gamble saying it had chosen one of his songs to be played on Love Island on Tuesday (June 21).
The ITV 2 show has been a hit since it launched in June 2015.

Viewers watch a group of men and women participate in a series of tasks with a partner that they keep swapping in the hope of meeting the love of their life.
Mr Gamble’s song Words played as contestant Tasha Ghouri chose to ‘couple up’ with contestant Andrew Le Page.
Mr Gamble was over the moon.
"It was surreal to hear the song on Love Island, I nearly fell off the sofa to be honest,” he said.
“We've worked so hard to get our songs up to such a high standard that it's amazing to see it pay off.”
His followers on social media shared their congratulations when he posted a video announcing the news.
“I've been overwhelmed by the support we've had over the years, and this feels like a win for our supporters too,” he said.

The inspiration for Words came from when he was travelling, where he met some amazing people with beautiful stories, he said.
“I wanted to write a story of two lovers and how hard it is to say, 'I love you' first, especially when you're in different continents.”
He invited his friend Katie Green to sing on the song with him to really hammer in the emotion he wanted this story to have.
To celebrate Love Island Mr Gamble and his band are releasing their new record Moments out on all streaming platforms July 8.
They will be throwing a release party in the Barrels on July 9 where they will be supported by local musicians Ben Fredrick Johnson, Ioan Price, and Monday Club.
